Where Abstraction Meets the Familiar

I began painting during the pandemic, when much of my photography work was suddenly put on hold and I found myself with time to create in a different way. Before long, people began buying my work and commissioning pieces of their own.

I work mainly in acrylic, combining bold colour, texture and abstract expression with recognisable subjects. Faces, bodies, animals and fragments of real life often sit at the centre of the work. Dogs have become a recurring subject too — partly because I love them, and partly because so many people have asked me to paint their own.

Personal work with artistic freedom

Would you like to buy an existing painting or commission a personal, custom-made work?

I paint to commission, but not within overly narrow limits. I want to retain my artistic freedom when I paint, so I cannot promise exactly what a painting will look like. You can, however, choose the subject and colour palette and of course share your wishes.
